The following instructions will guide you through determining the IP address configured on your Windows XP computer.
Windows XP
1. Click the Start button at the lower left-hand corner of your screen and click RUN.
2. Type command into the Open: field and click OK.
3. At the Command Prompt type ipconfig and hit the Enter key on your keyboard.
4. Your output may vary. The following output reveals the IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway assigned to the Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection 2.
